A new study in mice shown that a high dose of resveratrol, a compound found in red wine, is less effective at fighting cancer than a lower dose.

Mice that are predisposed to bowel cancer were given a high fat diet with the equivalent amount of resveratrol in humans as a large glass of wine saw a 50% reduction in tumors. the mice fed 200 times that amount of resveratrol only showed a 25% decrease.

You will likely not hear me tell anyone to drink less wine. It’s one of the finer things in life in my opinion. Perhaps eat more berries with resveratrol and let’s have a red wine cheers to our furry heroes in the cancer fight!
