Biomedicine benefits both veterinary and human health. At 14 years of age, “Phoebe” has lived a long life due to advances in veterinary medical research, including having undergone a successful Tibial Plateau Leveling Osteotomy (TPLO) to repair a partial tear in her cranial cruciate ligament. Benefits to “Phoebe’s” little friends include childhood vaccinations and other medical advancements to promote a better quality of life. Both pets and people can enjoy life, thanks to the advances in biomedical research.
As the world faces the COVID-19 crisis, we can truly thank the biomedical research community for their efforts to discover tests and cures for the SARS-CoV-2 virus. Thank you NABR and FBR for your role in safeguarding these efforts.
