Matthew Bailey is President of FBR. As a government relations professional focused heavily on science and technology issues, his Washington career has spanned more than 20 years. He played an instrumental role in the bi-partisan passage of the AETA. Currently, he advises university and corporate member institutions on crisis management issues related to animal rights targeting and educates public policy makers in Washington on the critical value of biomedical research. Mr. Bailey holds a degree in Political Science and Legal Studies from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.
Director of Communications and Public Relations
Crister DelaCruz is the Director of Communications and Public Relations for FBR. An accomplished communications professional, Ms. DelaCruz has extensive experience in nonprofit healthcare and global humanitarian organizations. At ADRA International, she led global teams with full-scale responses to crisis issues, provided stakeholder communications, and media relations. She has also served as vice president at a full-service digital marketing communications firm, creating and implementing campaigns for clients in energy, health, and manufacturing. Throughout the course of her career at respected hospitals and healthcare systems – Loma Linda University Medical Center, Adventist Health System, and Advocate Healthcare – she has provided communications and branding leadership, strategy, and community outreach. Ms. DelaCruz holds dual undergraduate degrees in Architecture and Communications from Andrews University, and is currently earning her Master of Science in Integrated Marketing Communications from Northwestern University.
