A veterinary clinic in Taiwan is now producing animal prosthetics using 3D printing technology. The clinic can scan animal bones using CT scans and then send those images to a 3D printer, where an exact replica is made. This is good news in terms of animal welfare because this technology is saving animal lives and improving their quality of life.
The 3D printing allows prosthetics to be made much more affordably so more animals can benefit. This will directly benefit our K9 warriors, whose sacrifice is often times forgotten. These animals are now able to have a second chance at life from injuries that they would have otherwise not been able to recover from.
