Researchers at Oxford University have found that playing Tetris could help relieve some of the symptoms associated with PTSD. The study showed that playing Tetris immediately after a traumatic event could drastically reduce symptoms like flashbacks. This study is groundbreaking in that it shows that it could be possible to one day prevent PTSD, instead of just treating it. The VA estimates that approximately 20% of soldiers that have served during Operations Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom have PTSD. This could be a simple and noninvasive way to treat soldiers suffering from PTSD and could significantly improve their quality of life.
